Community Guidelines

Our community promise

Belonging begins with how we treat one another.

These guidelines protect the warmth, trust, dignity, and freedom to participate that make Chapter Two worth joining.

The promise we make to one another

Chapter Two is built for real connection. Every member, guest, host, speaker, partner, and team member shares responsibility for creating a room where people can be curious, honest, and fully themselves.

Everyone enters as an equal

Experience matters here, but status does not. We welcome different cultures, careers, abilities, identities, viewpoints, and life paths.

Curiosity before assumptions

Ask, listen, and leave room to learn. We challenge ideas without belittling people or turning disagreement into personal attack.

Privacy is personal

Stories shared in the community stay there. Ask before sharing someone’s photo, words, contact details, or personal circumstances.

Relationships before transactions

Helpful connections are welcome; unsolicited pitching, repeated recruitment, spam, and pressure selling are not.

Consent and boundaries matter

Respect a “no,” a change of subject, a request for space, and a person’s choice about whether to connect outside the Club.

We help protect the room

If something feels unsafe, exploitative, or demeaning, tell a host or the Chapter Two team. Looking out for one another is part of belonging.

What this looks like in practice

We do

  • Speak respectfully and make space for quieter voices
  • Use honest identities and represent credentials accurately
  • Ask permission before photos, introductions, or sharing contact information
  • Keep advice practical, transparent, and free from hidden sales pressure
  • Give feedback about behavior without humiliating the person
  • Tell a host when support, access, or accommodation may be helpful

We do not

  • Harass, threaten, discriminate, shame, or direct unwanted attention at anyone
  • Pressure members to buy, invest, donate, join, date, disclose, or respond
  • Record or repost private conversations without permission
  • Misrepresent affiliations, expertise, products, or intentions
  • Monopolize facilitated conversations or repeatedly derail an activity
  • Retaliate against anyone who raises a concern in good faith

When something does not feel right

1

Choose safety first

Step away, end the conversation, or contact the event host. You never need to remain in an uncomfortable interaction to be polite.

2

Tell us privately

Share what happened through the contact form or directly with a host. Include only the detail you are comfortable providing.

3

We review and respond

We will listen, document the concern, protect privacy as far as possible, and decide the proportionate next step.

How we protect the community

Depending on the situation, Chapter Two may offer a reminder or coaching, remove content, end someone’s participation in an activity, suspend access, or terminate membership. Serious safety concerns may require immediate action. We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith.
